Utah Helicopter

A recent Boeing study estimated there will be a shortage of 59,000 helicopter pilots through 2037. For the next 17 years, helicopter pilots will be in high demand in a growing industry!

Located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains in Salt Lake City, Utah Helicopter has access to the best flying for the ultimate training experience. You’ll learn to fly Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters in spectacular airspace. Learning to fly in a high-altitude flight environment demands greater finesse and better energy management than at sea level. At Utah Helicopter you’ll learn to operate helicopters at their performance limitations-the type of mountainous flight experience many employers seek. You’ll be introduced to two classifications of airspace in the metropolitan Salt Lake City area-Class B and Class D. This means that you will be exposed to a variety of essential air traffic controllers language that will broaden your knowledge base and experience.

    Rachel Teater

“My experience with Utah Helicopter Academy was nothing but positive! I had received my Private, Instrument and Commercial ratings at another school in the area and went to UTH to obtain my Flight Instructor and Instrument Flight Instructor ratings. I was very impressed with Utah Helicopter and wish I would have started my flight training with them from the beginning. If you’re looking at different schools in the area to get your training do not look any further! Utah Helicopter is a great school and they won’t send you all over the country to get your training and take your check rides.”
